| "...Short Term: Hosting and Promoting Events The short-term goals for The MAP will be to host and promote public events of cultural significance that enhance networking among diverse communities of media artists, scientists, technology developers and educators. MAP events will act as a showcase and point of contact for media makers and artists seeking technology and technology developers seeking media makers. The events will aim at enhancing public awareness of how media arts technologies are changing the way we communicate and express ourselves. Mid Term: Exhibition, Education, & Training The mid-range goals of The MAP are twofold: 1) develop an environment to create and exhibit works of artistic and technological merit and 2) to operate an educational resource center for providing access to project-based training in the tools of communication.
