Vadim Bora's GO TO.....  Vadim Bora's studio-gallery ...
"...When most people walk into Vadim Bora's studio, they are amazed that one artist can create such a varied body of work. The North Ossetia native, from Russia's Caucasus Mountains, is simply unlimited in his ability to create in any media. A virtuoso in graphite, ink, and charcoal, Bora expresses in only a few lines, the essence of figure and emotion. From interpretive portraits in oil to humorous caricatures, from monumental sculpture to interior decorative forms, Bora's work reflects the high standards found in classical and contemporary European techniques and traditions. The artist imbues even his simple subjects with deep allegorical and philoso-phical meaning. Vadim Bora moved to the United States in 1993. He decided upon the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, similar in climate and atmosphere to his native North Ossetia. He opened his own studio-gallery in the bustling heart of downtown Asheville in 1998. Here he creates his master works, found in museums and private and corporate collections around the world. In the summer of 2002, the artist opened Vadim Bora Gallery, a showcase of classical and contemporary sculpture, painting, and works on paper. It is also located in downtown Asheville..."

Burr Designs GO TO.....  Burr Designs...
"...As an artist, Julia Burr works closely with clients to help them articulate their visual goal, to find an approach that will lead to the solution, and when feasible, to execute the work herself. This hands-on style reinforces Julia's belief that art and design don't have to cost a fortune. "...Traditional Granite Sculpture Studio- "Since 1891, extending a continuous family heritage in USA Granite Craftsmanship." All work by commission only. Studio visits are welcome- located approx 70 miles from downtown Asheville; 5 minutes from I-26 & I-85 intersection....

In the Past, stone was used to produce an enduring communication. Granite Sculpture provides the epitome of memorial and monumental efforts. Without peer, granite stands supreme. Hand Carved Granite Sculpture dates back to ancient Egypt, but became commercially viable in the USA during the Industrial Revolution of the 19th Century. Artisans came to this country to perpetuate a uniquely American artistic expression, based in European Tradition and training, but driven by American ambition, strength and determination.

Take your place in that tradition. Use Granite Sculpture, hand carved in America, as a statement defining your contribution to future generations. The strength of Granite endures"
