| "...Meagan Chaney received her BA in Studio Art with a concentration in Sculpture from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. She currently lives in Asheville, NC, and is a member of the River District Artist’s Guild. As an Artist-In-Residence at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Meagan was involved in a number of programs. She has instructed both youth and adult classes, participated in gallery installations, fundraising auctions, and artist outreach programs.
Meagan has exhibited in galleries such as The Fayetteville Museum of Art, Glance Gallery, ArtSpace, Rocky Mount Art Center and Turtle Hollow Gallery. Her work has been shown nationally and resides in the collections of Capital Broadcasting, Inc., American Tobacco Project, Durham, NC, O2 Fitness in Cary, NC, and Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. She has participated in lecture and panel presentations at the Tri-State/SECAC Conference and Visual Art Exchange in Raleigh, NC discussing topics such as Photographing Your Artwork for a Professional Portfolio and Presenting Yourself, Presenting Your Work. With nature as her primary source of inspiration, Meagan combines materials such as glass, steel, clay, and found objects to explore relationships between form, space, texture and color..."
